DSW KU holds ‘Aids & Appliances distribution camp’ for differently abled students | KNO

Srinagar, April 15 (KNO) : Department of Students Welfare (DSW), University of Kashmir organized a one-day special aids and appliances distribution camp for the differently abled students of the University here on Monday. The camp was attended by 50 differently abled students who were provided different aids and appliances on-spot by the Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir Prof. Talat Ahmad. According to a statement issued to KNO, the equipments included motorised Wheel Chairs, Manual Wheel Chairs, Elbow Crutches and Long Crutches, which shall make such differently abled students independent to move freely in and around the campus. On the occasion, Prof. Talat Ahmad congratulated the Dean Students Welfare Prof. Raies Ahmad Qadri for organizing such significant camp for the differently abled students. He further ensured that University would provide all facilities to these differently abled students to make their stay comfortable in the campus. Registrar, University of Kashmir Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir informed the students that Uuniversity has designated DSW for the welfare of the students and all legitimate and significant queries shall be forwarded to the office of DSW for readressal. DSW KU Prof. Raies A Qadri thanked the University administration especially the Vice Chancellor for his support and said that department of students welfare would hold more such camps and programs in future for the overall welfare of the students.(KNO)
